Our Story
Inspired by a passion for design and driven by a desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives, Jasmin set out to craft products that bring comfort and warmth to everyday living in 2012. Since then, the CanberraDay brand has grown and adapted to offer specialised rice-filled cold/heat packs.
Over the years our commitment to quality and craftmanship has remained unwavering. One unique aspect of our history is our deep connection to rice farming in Australia. Jasmin’s grandfather, Albert was one of the farmers to pioneer rice farming within the Yass Valley, and his legacy to agriculture and innovation is a testament to the values that drive our brand today. In 2023, we proudly relaunched to better reflect our foundation within the region.

Why We Use Rice Grains
Rice grains have the remarkable ability to retain hot or cold temperature, making our products a great choice year-round. Based on our testing, rice filled cold/heat packs stay warm longer than wheat bags and significantly longer than hot water bottles. They can be heated in the microwave for comforting warmth or placed in the freezer for a refreshing cool sensation, making them an incredibly versatile product.
With sustainability as one of our key values, we are proud to offer an eco-friendly alternative to disposable cold/heat packs. Our cold/heat packs are made using 100% cotton fabrics and as they are filled with rice grains, they are wheat allergy friendly. When stored correctly, our products will last for several years and won’t smell when heated.
Rice grains are highly durable and allow our cold/heat packs to be reused over and over again, without compromising on quality. As they are smaller and lighter than alternative grains our packs shape easily to your body and provide maximum comfort.
Rice farming in Australia is known for using the lowest amounts of chemicals in the world. This commitment to eco-conscious practices reflects our dedication to your well-being and the environment. By choosing CanberraDay, you’re not just investing in exceptional self-care products; you’re also supporting a local, family-owned business that source materials from the local region.
